In about 2007, we moved into Long Beach and were sent a flyer in the mail about the expansion of a dental practice with a son joining his proud father. That was our introduction to Dr. Pat, and we've been happy patients since that time. After an out of state absence and a few dental practices later, we are especially grateful to have returned to this great office. Andrea will, i'm sure, get our teeth up to her standards again. It was to check on the progress of my gum with the implant stem. What a thorough exam to just check the gum on step 2 of a 3 part process ! Let me backtrack..I was so nervous 4 months ago having an implant I'd convinced myself I needed something to calm me down. Major drugs.lol Dr pat himself called me..explained procedure .asked a few simple questions., completly put me at ease I went in for what I thought would be painful appoinment and I'm here to put in writing it was effortless!! Dr Emigh was so gentle.. through .explained everything he was doing, .the procedure to ready my gum for an implant took less than an hr and I didn't feel a thing!! The tooth that required an impant had been worked by another dentist my former insurance covered. Forget it..Id rather drive to Emigh Dental care , pay for superior care and peace of mind knowing my teeth are seen by a damm good dental practice!! My entire family goes here now.we're quite happy with their insurance..next. veneers!! By the way I work in tv in fashion.,nice smile good teeth vital for me! A very happy satisfied patient! More

Emigh Dental Care is by far, the best dental practice I’ve encountered in Long Beach. Communication with the office is crisp and clear. Treatment plans are clear and options are shown. I’ve never felt that any of the recommendations were unnecessary. My dental health has improved since I became a patient at this practice. Yes, it’s true, they have opted to step back from insurances such as Delta Dental. However, they do offer an annual ‘membership plan’ which gives me better cost/benefit results than Delta Dental. I went in today for an every-six-months cleaning. As always, all the staff and my dental technician were friendly, cheerful, and efficient. The cleaning was the best I've ever had, with minimal discomfort, and the technician and I had interesting conversations about my life's goings-on, and hers, as she worked. And their prices are very reasonable. I always recommend Emigh to my friends who are looking for a good dentist, and they end up, in turn, recommending them to their friends. My filling and teeth cleaning went perfect. Dr. Wong and Andrea both did an excellent job. The only bummer is they no longer accept Delta Dental for payment so you have to pay upfront for the dental work. The good part is they will bill Delta for you, but you need to wait to receive what Delta pays. Note, Delta will pay something, but not the whole bill. I will gladly pay for what they do not cover because Dr. Emigh's office is an exceptionally good office and I get great care there. More

I was scheduled for vacation on a Wednesday. The Friday evening prior to my departure I broke my tooth off leaving a big ugly exposed rotten tooth. Panicked, I called the after hours number. Dr. Todd returned my call and immediately put my worries at ease. He walked me through what needed to be done and set up an emergency appointment for the following Tuesday with Dr. Reel who put a temporary cap on and I was set to go. Yay! They are excellent dentist. Proficient in their job (they know what they’re doing). Honest, only does what’s needed. Not trying to pad their pockets at your expense. Both dentist and hygienist are all so warm and welcoming. Never seem to be in a rush to get you in and out. Answers my questions( those ask and unasked). I’m very happy to be a patient More

I’ve had bad experiences in the past where dentists are not very personable and/or shame you for what you haven’t done or what you need to do. You won’t get that here. They explain everything and it’s your call in the end. I’ve needed an implant for a few years but was too scared and wanted to hang on to my loose tooth (?!) as long as I could. I finally had to face up to the procedure and started the process today. Dr. Pat extracted two teeth (my other one was loose as well), inserted the post, gave me my “flipper” and I was on my way until my follow up appointment. But...not until I cried in the chair after everything was finished telling him how GRATEFUL I was to him! He talked me through everything before he started, was not rushed, made sure I was comfortable throughout and kept everything lighthearted as well. I am so thankful I found this office - the staff truly cares about the patient experience - from the front desk to the dental chair. When I called only two days prior to my scheduled appointment to request a different date, Emigh's front office (Elaine) delighted me by getting me in a day EARLIER! On this visit, I experienced a hygienist who had not worked on my mouth before. She did an excellent job. I have been coming to this dental office for over 10 years. They have an upscale feel to their atmosphere. The massage chairs, personal tv, and environment is all catered to making their patients feel comfortable. I really enjoy the staff and the excellent service they provide. My mouth always feel great and the issue I go in for is always resolved. They also give free gifts to take home, which is a sweet gesture. Went in yesterday for a 6 month check up. Was greeted by an always cheerful Elaine and the front desk! Then Bailey, a new dental assistant, greeted me with an equally cheerful "hello" and walked me back to my chair. Everyone said "hi" to me as we walked back and I thought to myself "this is why I've been coming here for so many years!". Bailey inspected my teeth and cleaned them as we had a great conversation about how to keep my teeth clean, brushing, flossing, etc. Then Dr. Pat came in and greeted me again like an old friend. So friendly and funny, yet very professional. I tell everyone that in my 70 years this is the ONLY dentist's office where I have ever felt relaxed and welcomed! They treat every patient like this. I was referred by a friend (keri Flynn) and have been going for the last 18 months. My first visit was after many years of not seeing a dentist and they were very kind. They are extremely professional and everyone you interact with is extremely nice! They text you on your birthday and remember things you tell them on visits! Emigh Dental Care changed my life. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Todd. I went in a few years ago for a 6 month smiles consultation with Dr. Pat. Based on what I wanted he suggested I go for Invisalign instead with Dr. Todd and that's exactly what I did. 2 years later I had straight teeth and a newfound confidence with my smile. Their office is extremely welcoming and they will remember you each time. I also appreciate how they have a separate little room where they go over all your financial options with you. All their equipment seems to be in great shape if not brand new and the chairs are more comfortable than any other dentist I've been to. If you don't have any insurance it can be a little pricey, but I think the experience is well worth the cost. Although I don't go here anymore since I moved too far away to make trips to Long Beach convenient, I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great dentist. More

I called there office because I was extreme pain. The front office quickly verified my insurance and were able to quickly squeeze me in on a Friday right before New Years. I was see by dr Todd. Let me just start by saying this was the best dental experience I have ever had. I am terrified of the dentist and his whole staff are caring and comforting they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and no pain!!! Dr Todd was very informative and honest on what was best and made me feel at ease and made sure I felt no pain throughout the whole process. The were very busy and I was going to come back another day for the procedure since they were so busy that day and they had already squeezed me in but I think he saw I was in so much pain he didn't want me to go thru the whole holiday weekend with that pain. My scripts had and error on it. And the office was already closed. I was able to call the emergency number and Dr. got back to me right away and delt with the grumpy pharmacy lady and corrected the error right away I would 100% recommend dr Todd and his staff. Went back for my daughter's 2nd ever cleaning and we're still impressed! Bailey is such a patient hygienist and didn't mind giving my wiggle worm lots of gentle encouragement. I visited last night and I was extremely nervous because it had been a while since I've last been to the dentist and I know I needed a lot of work done. Been seeing Dr Emigh and now his sons and Tammy since 1993 when I retired from Air Force.  They are the best.  Have had root canals a tooth  pulled because it cracked, caps put on and all done in professional manner and pain free.  Tammy's been great she kept my gums from getting diseased, let's me know when I need to get on the rubber tip to strengthen my gums and interacts with you in a great way during treatments.  The use of technology by the Dr's and Tammy  has been very good.  Wish the techniques used  by the dentist I went to as a kid matched Dr. Emigh's.  Never looked forward to those visits lots of pain and anxiety not with Dr.'s Emigh and Tammy. Still five stars!! Finished my Invisiline treatment today as scheduled. Picked up retainers and was given final pics. Gap in front feet is gone! Yaaay! The front staff at Emigh Dental Care is very friendly and welcoming. There's even water and apple juice while you wait. The waiting room is open and comfy! There's also ample parking in the parking structure! I had my first examination with Dr. Reel today.  She was warm, open and friendly! Freddy, the DA escorted me back to the exam room and explained everything thoroughly. I did share that I was worried about my teeth because I haven't had dental care in about 3 years (no dental insurance). After 3 years with no dental care, I have just 1 cavity. After seeing Dr. Reel, Freddy took me to see hygienist, Tammy. Like Dr. Reel, Tammy was warm and friendly. She explained all the things that were to come for my cleaning and the importance of flossing. On 9/17 my 2 year old son and husband saw Dr. Todd. Dr. Todd thoroughly answered all our questions re: jaw surgery for my husband and referred him to an orthodontist. Although my 2 year old son didn't cooperate by opening his mouth, Dr. Todd was able to entertain and make my son feel comfortable. Maybe next time, Dr. Todd will get to take a look at my son's teeth.
