To be fitted for Invisalign, our dental staff will take photos, digital X-rays, and 3-D impressions of your teeth with our iTero digital scanner. Using this info, a series of clear, plastic, customized aligners will be created to fit your  mouth perfectly. Wearing these aligners full time except while eating and brushing/flossing, you will switch to new aligners at home every 1-2 weeks, typically coming to Emigh Dental Care every 6-8 weeks for a quick checkup. The aligners will predictably and efficiently move your teeth from where they start to the final position that the dentist approves of using Invisalign's patented technology. Conveniently, aligners are comfortable and easily removable, which is ideal for eating, brushing, and flossing. Invisalign treatment time depends on the starting position of the teeth and what needs to be changed based on the patient's goals and doctor's vision. Almost all of our Invisalign patients are completed in less than 2 years, more than half of them in less than 12 months.

After your teeth have been moved into their ideal position, retainers will be made for you to wear, and our dentist will instruct you on how long to wear them.  You will typically wear them 6-12 months full time, followed by night time wear.
