For top-quality, porcelain veneers, our dentists at Emigh Dental Care in Long Beach, CA offer Lumineers by DenMat Lab. Lumineers can be custom-made to fit patient's unique dental structure to correct noticeable gaps, chipped teeth, stained teeth, or uneven spacing. Compared to other porcelain veneers, Lumineers have an ultra-thin, translucent structure that requires little to no tooth grinding. Their composition also allows for a more natural tooth appearance, which makes them an attractive alternative to traditional veneers. Our certified Lumineers dentists at Emigh Dental Care will be able to perform a full dental exam and consult to determine if Lumineers are the best fit for their patients.
"My family and I have been going to Emigh Dental Care for years. EVERYONE is very courteous, helpful, and professional. All their equipment is state of the art. I have had terrific Dr. Bob and Dr. Pat as my dentists. My son schedules his appointments with Dr. Todd -- who he thinks is great! Yesterday I was introduced to Dr. Le. She is a wonderful addition to the Team!! I can't say enough about my super hygienist, Andrea! Emigh Dental Care is the whole package!!!!"- A.D. / Yelp / Apr 25, 2018
"Best dentists we have ever had. Our whole family goes there. My 7 year old daughter was petrified of the dentist after a bad experience with another dentist. We switched to the Dr. Emighs and now she is 9 years old and looks forward to going. Tammy is her favorite, but Jade and everyone is fantastic!!"- T.M. / Yelp / Apr 24, 2018
"Off the corner of Atherton and Bellflower. There is plenty of parking and site seeing! Super clean with the proper amenities for before and after you're visit. Friendly greeting staff and handsome Dentist. Beautiful and friendly hygienist. I give this place a 100%. I can't to check out their Los Alamitos location! ^_^ Seasons greetings Emigh family!"- M.E. / Yelp / Dec 07, 2016
"Broke a veneer recently & made an appt. @ Emigh Dental based on all the positive reviews - the reviews don't lie - this office is great & Dr. Todd is just the best! Ended up having him replace all 6 of my prior veneers + do 2 more. The difference between my 'old' (if 7 years is old) & new veneers is like night & day! Huge relief to have found such a talented dentist - HIGHLY recommended!"- J.L. / Yelp / Apr 21, 2018
"Been coming here for 40 years. Excellent care, Staff are always welcoming with smiles. It's not just a dental office , it's like visiting family . Not only has my family had the pleasure of being cared for my Dr. Robert Emigh, now we have the pleasure of being cared for by his two sons Dr. Pat and Dr. Todd to carry on the family tradition. What a wonderful blessing they all are, to all of us to take such good care of us. You can always get an emergency appointment and get in immediately to be cared for. Thank you for continuous Service."- D.P. / Yelp / Apr 19, 2018
What to Expect
Lumineers are typically completed in two separate office visits. During the initial visit, our dentists will take a digital impression of the upper and lower teeth, detailed photos, and digital X-rays. This information will then be sent to a certified Lumineers lab where the custom-made Lumineers will be manufactured. At the second appointment, the teeth will be lightly grinded and the lumineers will be placed. The grinding is necessary to ensure a strong bond; however, it does not compare to the severe grinding required for traditional veneers. Once the patient's Lumineers are placed one by one, our dentists will examine their bite and ensure proper bond and placement is complete and comfortable.
Thanks to the modern composition of Lumineers, results are long-lasting and have been known to last up to 20 years. Since Lumineers are made of high-quality material and allow for optimal function, patients can continue to eat and drink what they want. However, proper care and dental hygiene are also necessary to maintain and prolong the results. This means that patients should not only maintain a daily habit of brushing and flossing but continue to visit our office for routine dental exams and cleanings as well. During the dental exams, our dentists will be able to examine the patient's Lumineers and check on their alignment and bond to ensure their integrity. Patients can also choose to have their Lumineers removed at any time if they so desire, which is another advantage compared to traditional veneers.
