About Invisalign

Thanks to modern technology and medical advancements, our dentists at Emigh Dental Care can now offer Invisalign braces to help improve the smile. Invisalign are customized clear aligners that gradually straighten teeth, without the invasiveness and unappealing design of traditional braces. These aligners are ideal for patients who are past their teens and early twenties who desire straighter teeth in their older age. If patients want to correct the alignment and overall symmetry of their teeth, they can call our Long Beach, CA practice today to learn how Invisalign braces can help.

What to Expect

To be fitted for Invisalign, our dentists will take photos, digital X-rays, and make digital impressions of the teeth. From these, a set of clear, plastic, customized aligners will be created to fit the mouth. The aligners are part of a treatment plan that will make gradual changes and adjustments to the teeth. Patients will wear the aligners for a predetermined amount of time before moving onto the next aligner. Conveniently, aligners are comfortable and easily removable, which is ideal for eating, brushing, and flossing.

Treatment Aftercare

Our dentists will determine how long each patient will need to wear Invisalign depending on the starting condition of their teeth. New aligners will be created about every 2 weeks or as needed to incrementally adjust the teeth. Throughout the process, patients will have regular check-ups with our office to confirm their progress. Most patients achieve full results in 1 – 2 years.
